Suspect taken to hospital after officer involved shooting

Aberdeen, WA – The Aberdeen Police Department tells KXRO that they were involved in an officer involved shooting.
They say that the shooting occurred at about noon today on State St. just east of K St.
Aberdeen Police say the suspect was transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital.
The Region 3 Critical Incident Investigation Team will be handling the investigation.
According to police, State St. is going to be closed from the Chehalis River Bridge off ramp to M St. for several hours as the investigation is conducted.
The public is asked to avoid the area.
Numerous agencies are on scene.
