Hundreds in Aberdeen lose power due to car vs. pole accident

Aberdeen, WA – Aberdeen residents lost power for about seven hours last night due to a car vs. pole accident.

The Grays Harbor PUD told KXRO just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night that roughly 400 customers were without power in West Aberdeen including Chilton, Bel Aire, Cherry St, Sumner Ave, and 7th and 8th Streets.

At about 11:30 p.m. they said that power remained out to 100 customers, but power had been restored to around 300.

They said the cause of the outage was a downed pole caused by a car vs. pole accident.

According to the PUD at about 4:30 a.m. this morning, power was restored to all customers.
