Cosmopolis boat launch access closed July 3-5

Cosmo Specialty Fibers will close access to the boat launch in Cosmopolis over the 4th of July due to road work.

In a release from Cosmo, they say that due to paving being done by the City of Cosmopolis at their West Gate on July 3rd, 4th, and 5th, they need to close access through the boat launch.

The F Street Boat Launch will be closed during this time to all vehicles, boats, and pedestrians as Cosmo will be rerouting all truck traffic to the mill through their property adjacent to the boat launch.

Cosmo says that the decision was made while working with the City of Cosmopolis and the Cosmopolis Police Department.

Safety & Health Manager Anita Jensen, MM, CSP states “As a part of Cosmo Specialty Fibers ongoing commitment to safety and the well-being of the citizens of Cosmopolis and the community, we want to ensure your safety by eliminating all potential vehicle and pedestrian interfaces.

Access to the boat launch will resume on July 6th.
