Cosi Hill will close for a week, sending all drivers through Blue Slough.

The Washington State Department of Transportation is alerting drivers that US 101 at Cosi Hill will close to all traffic around-the-clock starting at 6 am on Monday, June 17 and will stay closed through 6 pm Friday, June 21.

Rognlin’s, Inc crews will conduct the five-day closure, weather permitting, to  construct temporary lanes around a section of the highway.

During the closure, travelers will be sent on a 7.5-mile detour on State Route 107 and the Blue Slough Road.

Traffic will be blocked at the SR 107 and US 101.

Access to and from the Highlands Golf Course entrance will be maintained.

Once US 101 reopens on Friday evening, travelers will encounter narrowed and shifted lanes through the work zone. This temporary roadway configuration will allow crews to rehabilitate the slope while maintaining traffic during the two-year construction project.

WSDOT says that they will work to keep traffic moving.
