Aberdeen, WA – Aberdeen is working with the Port of Grays Harbor in a grant application process.
Last night at the Aberdeen City Council Meeting, a report from Public Works recommended that the city will reimburse the Port of Grays Harbor for half of the expenses of preparing a benefit-cost analysis for the Aberdeen US 12 Highway- Rail Separation Project up to $6,975.
Council member Dee Ann Shaw explained that this is a new name for an old proposal.
Following that report, another report was brought forward that will allow the City of Aberdeen to submit a 2019 build grant for up to $25 million for the Aberdeen US 12 Highway Rail Separation Project.
Mayor Erik Larson spoke on how competitive the grant process is.
Both reports were passed.
