Aberdeen, WA – Work has been occurring this week on the Chehalis River Bridge, as repairs are being done on the base of the bridge.

The Washington State Department of Transportation announced repair work on the nearly 65 year old bridge as crews will be working on the foundation.

The crews will work from the water to fill a scour hole beneath the concrete foundations and place loose rock around the columns to prevent further scour.

This project will have little to no impacts to motorists.

All work will occur via divers and from barges from early summer through fall 2019.
