Westport Robbery Suspects Arrested

The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office have located and arrested suspects in connection to the armed robbery at the Westport Y Deli.

Tuesday afternoon, the Pacific County Sheriff’s Department was assisting the Washington State Department of Corrections in locating a DOC offender with outstanding warrants.

While in the area of Grayland, just inside Pacific County, the officers observed a blue colored Volkswagen Passat traveling southbound with the offender inside.

The officers stopped the vehicle and contacted the 24 year old transient and arrested him for the outstanding warrants. During a search, the DOC officer located a loaded .22 caliber pistol, in addition to a bandana and sunglasses.

Based on the description of the vehicle, and the items found, the officers on scene believed the suspect could be involved with the armed robbery.

Sheriff’s Detectives responded and contacted the offender who was arrested for the robbery and transported to Grays Harbor County Jail where he was booked for 1st Degree Robbery. He has a previous history of burglary and drug crimes.

The suspect’s girlfriend, a 20 year old female from Grayland, was later located and arrested for her involvement with the robbery. Detectives believe that she was the driver of the getaway vehicle during the crime. She was booked for 1st Degree Robbery.
