Walk a Mile in Her Shoes this weekend in Aberdeen

Beyond Survival’s annual event, Walk-a-Mile in Her Shoes, is this Saturday in Aberdeen.

The event is meant to raise awareness for local sexual assault victims, and will feature various local residents and officials walking in Downtown Aberdeen wearing something new to them. The men will walk starting in Aberdeen wearing high heels.

From 10- 4pm at 313 South I Street in Aberdeen, the event will feature information booths, vendors, and child friendly activities including a dunk tank. Inside the tank, Representative Brian Blake, County Commissioner Frank Gordon, Mayor Bill Simpson, and other local leaders will all take their turn.
