Voters in Grays Harbor could top 30k

After reviewing turnout and ballot totals from 4 years ago, Grays Harbor County Auditor Vern Spatz says that there is a chance for the county to break 30,000 voters.

In 2008, over 80% of registered voters were counted locally totaling just under 30,000 total ballots.

Currently the office has processed 15.8% of the ballots turned in by 38,064 registered voters. Although the state estimate is a bit higher, if the county receives 80% again this year we will break 30,000.

The county population has increased by over 1,300 registered voters since the 2008 election.
