A vehicle fire in East County had traffic backed up while crews battled the blaze.
Grays Harbor Fire District 5 tells KXRO that they were called to the fire just after 2pm, and only a couple miles down the road from the vehicle vs car accident that crews were actively responding to.
Fire Chief Dan Prater says that when he got to the scene, the vehicle was fully involved and the road was shut down.
The Elma Fire Department knocked down the fire with assistance from FD#5 and McCleary Fire.
Chief Prater told KXRO that he is, “very appreciative of Elma and McCleary assistance. Auto and mutual aid responses are a must in the fire service of today”.
Washington State Patrol tells KXRO it took an hour to clear the scene.
No injuries were noted. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
