Truck accident partially blocked Highway 12

A truck accident partially blocked highway 12 for nearly three hours this weekend.

The Washington State Patrol tells KXRO that Saturday morning at around 4:30 a white 2007 international tractor with a 1998 refrigerated trailer that was heading east, went off the road 4 miles west of Elma and hit the guard rail, then a cement bridge and railing, before coming to rest in the ditch.

The State Patrol says the driver was not injured and the cause of the accident is under investigation.

The Washington State Department of Transportation said the road was partially blocked till about 7:20 that morning.
