Tree clearing on SR 8 will lead to delays

Drivers can encounter lane closures and short-term rolling slowdowns on State Route 8 at the county line on Wednesday, while Department of Transportation maintenance crews remove hazard trees adjacent to the highway.

Crews will be working in both directions of SR 8 near the Grays Harbor/Thurston County line from 7 am to 4:30 pm on Wednesday.

To ensure the safety of motorists, traffic will be cleared from the area using rolling slowdowns before trees are felled.

Drivers are advised to plan for delays.
