Superintendent salary discussion on ASD School Board agenda
The Aberdeen School Board are scheduled to vote tonight on a possible salary increase for Superintendent Dr. Alicia Henderson.
On their agenda for their scheduled meeting, the school board is considering adjusting the Superintendent salary. This adjustment would increase the annual salary to $173,095 per year.
According to the current contract, linked below, Henderson’s current contract is for $168,053 plus benefits.
This would equate to a 3% increase.
According to the agenda for the meeting, in addition to annual salary, the Superintendent would also include a number of additional reimbursement items, including a $500 a month travel expense for using her own vehicle instead of using a district vehicle, twelve days of sick leave, insurance benefits, and other items.
If approved, Henderson would be required to meet a certain level of standards, including annual reviews, maintain residence within the district, as well as maintain performance levels.
If approved, Henderson’s contract would extend for an additional year until June 30, 2022.
Also on the agenda is a proposed adjustment to the salary schedule for staff throughout the district.
The meeting will be held tonight, Tuesday, June 18, in the Community Room at Aberdeen High School starting at 5pm.
