Standoff in South Aberdeen continues

Police from multiple agencies continued their standoff overnight in the 2000 block of Harding Rd following reports of a 54 year old man shooting a gun in South Aberdeen shortly after 8 pm on Tuesday night before barricading himself inside his home.

Overnight, officers continued to attempt contact with the man, asking him to exit with “all firearms, knives, and other weapons”, and fired what appears to be tear gas into the home. Reports of movement inside have been heard all night following initial sightings of the man behind blinds and aiming a green lazer out of windows.

Multiple agencies are on scene, as well as SWAT.

Residents are asked to stay clear of the 2000 block of Harding Rd as police await a response.
