Special Weather Statement: Warm weather brings water deaths

A Special Weather Statement has been issued for Pacific County as warm weather continues locally.

The National Weather Service said that near record warmth through today may cause some individuals to seek relief around area rivers.

They remind residents that every year people are killed in rivers around the Pacific Northwest by overestimating their ability to handle the higher river flows and the cold water temperatures.

Please exercise caution along or in any rivers today.
