Simpson Avenue Bridge closing on September 30


The Washington Department of Transportation has announced that the Simpson Avenue Bridge in Hoquiam will close for ALL vehicles from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30.

All vehicles will be transferred over to Riverside Avenue as it is converted once again to accommodate two-way traffic.

Crews from WSDOT will be conducting a routine inspection during the closure.

Although the bridge will be closed to vehicles, it will remain open for bicyclists and pedestrians.

Drivers are encouraged to allow extra time during the closure.
