Sewer main leak in Hoquiam

The City of Hoquiam has identified a leak on a sewer force main that pumps raw sewage across the Hoquiam River from Division Street to Lincoln Street.

The city says residents living in the Woodlawn area are asked to conserve water to limit the amount of sewage that could possibly enter the Hoquiam River.

City crews and contractors will begin making the repair today.  Residents should also take caution if they are around the heavy equipment or in the Hoquiam River.
