SAME SEX MARRIAGE PASSES HOUSE VOTE

The Washington State House of representatives Wednesday afternoon, after 2 hours of discussion on the floor, voted to approve Senate Bill 6239 in favor of Same Sex Marriage in a vote of 55-43.

The next step for the bill is a signature from Governor Chris Gregoire. Gregoire publically supported the bill earlier in the year.

Once signed, Washington State will become the 7th state in the nation to legalize Same Sex Marriage.
