Registered Sex Offender moving within Pacific County

The Pacific County Sheriff’s Office is alerting residents that a Level III registered sex offender is moving within the county.

41 year old Roger James Collins was released from jail for Communication with minor for immoral purposes in 1988 before further convictions in 1993 for Communication with minor for immoral purposes, sexual abuse in the first degree, and child molestation in the third degree. Since that time, Collins has had a series of interactions with officials including Failure to register as a Sex Offender.

Collins will be moving into the 150 block of Highway 101 in Pacific County, from a former residence in Chinook.

Collins is not wanted by the law enforcement at this time.

Law Enforcement has no legal authority to direct where a sex offender may or may not live. Unless court ordered restrictions exist, this offender is constitutionally free to live wherever he/she chooses.
