Public hearings for bars and bees coming to Hoquiam

Two public hearings are scheduled for the upcoming Hoquiam City Council meeting.

In announcements from the City of Hoquiam, they state that the public is invited to submit their comments for the June 8 council meeting related to separate issues.

The first involves the practice of hobby beekeeping within City limits. This item has been discussed on multiple occasions and could allow the practice to be allowed by residents.

The second involves an application from Hoquiam Brewing Company and the 8th St. Ale House to use portions of the city sidewalk for outdoor seating.

These hearings will be held on June 8, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hoquiam City Council Chambers, Hoquiam City Hall, 609 8th Street, Hoquiam, WA.

Due to the restrictions on public meetings and the possibility that the public will not be able to attend in person, any interested parties can submit written comments to [email protected] or mail to Hoquiam City Council, ATTN: Council Secretary, 609 8th Street, Hoquiam, WA 98550.

Written comments must be received by 10:00 a.m. on June 8, 2020.

The public can log-in and view the Hoquiam City Council meetings via ZOOM.
