Grays Harbor PUD spokesperson Liz Anderson says power has been restored in Ocean Shores and Oyhut areas. Tree branches through power lines caused an outage this afternoon impacting 7,000 customers.

The PUD expects to have power restored to the remaining  1,200 customers from East Hoquiam Road north to Kalaloch.  Branches in power lines caused the outage earlier this afternoon.

Around 11am today  a branch in a power line caused an outage on Elma-McCleary Road. The PUD had electricity restored about 30 minutes later.

Grays Harbor County Emergency Management Deputy Director Chuck Wallace reminds us to be prepared for additional  power outages due to broken tree limbs and DO NOT go near downed trees or power lines!
