Port receives 22nd clean audit

The Port of Grays Harbor earned their 22nd clean audit report from the Washington State Auditor’s Office in June.

The Port says that accountability and financial statement audits for 2015 included many aspects of Port business such as payroll expenditures, marina operations, Friends Landing operations, State grants, financial condition, open public meetings, and general revenues and expenditures.

Commission President Jack Thompson commended the audit team on another job well done, saying “The Port audit team’s experience in managing the public’s resources and constant attention to detail has resulted in clean audits for over two decades. Our pride in their work continues to grow as they meet the highest of standards year after year. Congratulations on another successful review.”

The Port of Grays Harbor’s full audit report is available on the Washington State Auditor’s website, www.sao.wa.gov.
