Park naming process continues in Westport

The process continued last night to find the new name for the now combined Westhaven State Park and Westport Light State Park.

At a public workshop last night in Westport the Washington State Parks department gave a presentation and asked for public input on what to name the park that is now connected by a recent land purchase.

The parks department also explained the process of how they are looking for Recreation Business Activity opportunities for the park.

The park in Westport is part of four state parks that are being looked at for RBAs but the decision on those and what the new name will be, will not be decided until September 22nd at the parks commission meeting Sequim.
