Drivers are being warned to plan ahead as a ramp closure is coming to Elma.

The Washington State Department of Transportation is advising drivers that planned daytime paving for SR 8 in Elma will cause a closure of the ramps off and on SR 8 at the US 12 junction and closest to Summit Pacific Medical Center.

Work is scheduled for Tuesday, August 13 from 8am-6pm.

The ramp exiting westbound SR 8 towards Summit Pacific Medical Center and Oakville as well as the eastbound on-ramp leading back to SR 8 will be closed during the work.

The westbound on-ramp onto the highway and the eastbound off-ramp from SR 8 will remain open during the work.

The ramp closures are weather-dependent and could be rescheduled.
