New Treasurer chosen for Grays Harbor

Grays Harbor has a new Treasurer after Ron Strabbing announced his retirement.

The Grays Harbor County Commissioners voted unanimously in favor of Ken Albert to take the office.

County Commissioner Vickie Raines spoke about the process of the decision.

Albert said this is a great opportunity for him.

Albert will be ending his job with Umpqua Bank to take the position.

He will have to run for the position in 2017 to finish out Strabbing’s term; whoever wins that race would have to run again in 2018 for a new term as the Treasurer.
