New K9 Unit in Grays Harbor

Following the death of K9 Enno from cancer, the unexpected death of K9 Gizmo, and the retirement of K9 Nitro, Grays Harbor now has a new K9 Apprehension Team.

Sheriff Rick Scott and the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office welcomed Deputy Tracy Gay and K9 Max. The sheriff’s office obtained Max from Landheim Training Center in Indiana.

Deputy Gay spent five weeks at the training academy and returned to Grays Harbor with Max.

Deputy Gay and Max are currently patrolling and were just this past week involved in their first criminal apprehension involving a felony theft.
