Montesano Youth Soccer sends three teams to state tournament

A banner year for the Montesano Youth Soccer Club will be celebrated on the weekend of December 3rd and 4th when the club hosts the quarterfinal round of the Washington Youth Soccer Recreational Cup.
In addition to being the first time hosting the state tournament games, Montesano Youth Soccer will have three teams playing in the state quarterfinals.
“It’s been quite a year for Montesano Youth Soccer,” said Club President Chuck Fairbairn.  “We started the summer with over 30 teams and over 400 players and to see it end with teams advancing to state and tournament games being played in Montesano is a credit to all our staff, coaches and especially to our players.”
The three teams advancing to state will play their games at Jack Rottle Field at Montesano High School.
The GU12 Kicks and GU15 Bandits will play on Saturday Dec. 3rd and the GU 13 Lightning will play on Sunday, December 4th. The three teams won their District 7 tournaments on Nov. 13th to qualify for state.
