Man Barricades Himself Inside Central Park Home

The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Department is continuing their negotiations with an armed man in Central Park. The situation began sometime after 5pm this afternoon within a trailer off of Pioneer Road.

Grays Harbor Undersheriff Dave Pimentel told KXRO that the man barricaded himself inside the home. He had his wife held hostage, and threatened to kill her with his firearm. Eventually, the man released his wife from the home.

A police negotiator is on scene and has been in contact with the man for over an hour in an attempt to get the man to surrender.

Pioneer Rd is completely closed between Karjala Road and State Route 12.

Officers from GHSO, Aberdeen and Hoquiam Police Departments, Washington State Patrol, and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife are on scene.
