Man arrested for multiple sexual crimes against minors in Pacific County

An arrest has been made for multiple charges of sexual crimes against minors in Pacific County.

The Pacific County Sheriff’s Office tells KXRO that after a search warrant was served; a 45 year old Ocean Park man was arrested Wednesday night January 6th on charges of Possession of Depictions of Minors engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct, Rape of a Child in the First Degree, Incest in The First Degree and Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

The Sheriff’s Office says that in mid-December, deputies were asked to assist representatives with Child Protective Services regarding a home visit to the man’s residence. Child Services had received a referral that children in the home were being allowed to view pornographic material from electronic devices.

According to the Sheriff’s Office through investigative efforts, deputies were able to gather enough cause to get a search warrant of the residence and several items that could store images or videos were seized.

The Sheriff’s Office says that when they examined the devices, they found several images or depictions of minors engaging in explicit sexual conduct. Images also revealed the suspect involved in the acts.

The investigation is ongoing and the man is being held at the Pacific County Jail on a bail of $1,000,000.00.
