Man arrested after found with 7 passport cards

A man was arrested for multiple felonies after being found with multiple different IDs.

The Aberdeen Police Department tells KXRO that just before 10:00am Friday morning officers responded to the US Cellular Store on W. Wishkah due to a man at the store attempting to use a fake name to purchase a phone.

Police say he admitted that he lied about his identity and was arrested on scene and booked into the Aberdeen jail.

During the booking process, officers found that the suspect had seven U.S. Passport Cards in his wallet.

They all had the same picture of the suspect with different names on each one, but all of them had the same date of birth.

The suspect also had seven TD Bank Visa Debit cards that had matching names with the Passport Cards.

They say a New York State ID card was also located and identified the suspect as a 22 year old man and it is believed that this may be his true identity.

The suspect will be booked and arraigned in Superior Court in Montesano on multiple felonies involving identity theft, forgery and criminal conspiracy.

This suspect may have ties in Aberdeen and there may be others involved in these crimes.

The Aberdeen Police Department is warning all merchants to be on the look-out for fraudulent US Passport Cards.

The cards are very good and will be hard to determine if they are fraudulent.

Merchants should look for additional identification documents to confirm the person’s identity.

Call 911 and request an officer if there are concerns and you believe that the documents may be fraudulent.
