Illahee/Oyehut area getting sewer system

Grays Harbor took another step toward adding a sewer system to the Illahee/Oyehut area.

The county received bids for the project Monday night from Roglins and Quigg Bros. and Commissioner Vickie Raines says they are hoping that the system is in place this year.

Raines says the project is something that has been in the works for a long time.

At the meeting Monday the commissioners also approved a consulting contract with Kevin Varness, a former county employee who has worked on the project, to help with the process.
