Hoquiam treatment center opening April 2nd

The Aberdeen City Council heard a presentation from Dr. Molly Carney and Dr. David Beck on the new Evergreen Treatment Services Grays Harbor Clinic that will be opening in Hoquiam. The clinic will be to treat people with an opioid dependence with a medication assisted system including methadone and suboxone.

Dr. Carney spoke on the data that has been compiled showing their method as an effective way to help with opiate addiction.

Mayor Bill Simpson also welcomed them to the area and said that he knows there is a local problem, but this center will save the county a lot of money.

The clinic is set to open April 2nd and it will be located on Levee Street in Hoquiam.
