GROUNDED BOAT IN OCEAN SHORES LEAKING FUEL

The 52-foot wooden fishing vessel that lost power and ran aground at Ocean Shores is now breaking up in the surf.

The Coast Guard says the Dare II is leaking fuel and a light sheen is reported extending a mile north of the vessel.

The crew of three were rescued after the grounding Wednesday night.

The Ecology Department has hired a company to clean debris from the beach and the Department of Natural Resources has hired a salvage company to get the boat moved.
