GRAYS HARBOR UNEMPLOYMENT HIGHEST IN WASHINGTON

The non-adjusted unemployment numbers contain grim news for Grays Harbor. With 13.8-percent unemployment in June, the county now has the highest unemployment rate in the state of Washington. According to the report released by the Employment Security Office today, the county added 290 unemployed persons last month to increase the rate by one point and push it past Ferry County for the dubious distinction. To the south, Pacific County inched down slightly, dropping below 12-percent to 11.6-percent.
