Grays Harbor Public Hospital commissioner filing now open

Residents who live inside the proposed Grays Harbor Public Hospital District #2 can now officially file to be a member of the 7 person board of commissioners, before the district is even approved.

Filing has been opened for the board, as the final map and district boundaries have been set by the Grays Harbor County Auditor’s Office.

The Grays Harbor County Commissioners voted last week that if the GHPHD #2 is approved by voters on the August ballot, the district will have 5 internal districts, with a 7 member board, voted on by residents.

This would include 1 representative from each district, with 2 others at-large.

There is no fee to file for the office, as there is no established salary for the commissioners.

Filings must be done by hard copy due to the last minute addition of the positions and district.
