Grays Harbor primary election to be certified today

Today the votes are scheduled to be certified and we will know definitively who will be moving onto the November general election. After the 3rd count of primary ballots, there were no changes in the biggest races.

Aberdeen City Councilman Frank Gordon and retiree Allan Shores are the top 2 contenders to move onto the November election to fill the spot of incumbent Commissioner Mike Wilson. Wilson trails in that race in 4th place.

Incumbent Commissioner Terry Willis trails currently to challenger Wes Cormier, showing both incumbent Commissioners behind in votes for their positions. Both candidates for the District 1 race will automatically move onto the general election since there are no other challengers.

Arie Callaghan is the top vote getter in the Grays Harbor PUD Commissioner race with over 49% of the vote with Chris Thomas in 2nd place with 26%. Jeff Nichols trails by 100 votes.

Callaghan and Thomas look to move onto the general election to replace retiring Commissioner Tom Casey.
