Grays Harbor and Pacific County tie for second highest unemployment rates in June
Grays Harbor, WA – Grays Harbor and Pacific County tied for the second highest unemployment rates in the state in June.
According to the Washington Employment Security Department’s non-seasonally adjusted numbers, Grays Harbor and Pacific County’s unemployment rates were 7.3% which was only lower than Ferry County’s 10.5%.
In Grays Harbor the labor force grew by 147 from May to June but the total number of those employed fell by 14 and those on unemployment rose by 161.
Compared to last June, there were 683 more in the labor force and 310 more people employed but also 373 more people on unemployment.
The 7.3% rate was the highest June rate since 2016’s 7.9%.
In Pacific County the labor force grew from May by 94 and those employed grew as well by 56 but those on unemployment also grew by 38.
