Aberdeen, WA – Over 4000 lbs of peanut butter were donated locally by Rich Hartman’s Five Star Dealerships.

In a yearly Ford Focus on Child Hunger Peanut Butter Drive, Ford dealerships partner with local organizations to donate the staple for every vehicle sold.

Locally, Five Star Ford Lincoln partnered with other Five Star Dealerships to hold the drive this year.

The peanut butter donations will be distributed by Coastal Harvest to serve food banks and programs in Grays Harbor and Pacific County.

Coastal Harvest tells KXRO that during the month of May, they raised 4172 lbs of peanut butter.

Coastal Harvest Executive Director Brent Hunter said, “The partnership between Five Star Dealerships and Coastal Harvest, is an important link to help reduce child hunger in our communities. And the peanut butter will go a long way in aiding this effort.”

Hunter states that summer kids feeding programs and food banks benefit from the donation.

Coastal Harvest is a non-profit 501(c)(3) food bank distribution center serving seven Southwest Washington counties, providing food to 58 partner programs, including food pantries, feeding programs, mobile food bank, senior centers and backpack programs.
