First numbers released for school levy votes

The first counts for the special election were made last night and every measure on the Grays Harbor ballot is passing.

The Aberdeen School Levy is passing with 60% of the vote and Hoquiam’s Levy is passing with 64%.

Montesano’s School Levy is passing with 60% and Elma’s is passing 62%.

North Beach, Lake Quinault, Wishkah, and both of the Cosmopolis measures are passing with over 60% of the vote.

McCleary, Mary M. Knight, Rochester, and Oakville are also passing in Grays Harbor after the first count but Oakville is only up by one vote at 156 for and 155 against.

However when you add the Lewis County votes for Oakville it sits at a tie after the first count with 162 votes for and against.

The lone non-school measure is also passing as the Grays Harbor County Fire Protection District #4 proposition is passing with a 76% approval rate.
