Expect delays outside Montesano as roadwork continues

Drivers can expect delays on State Route 107 at the Chehalis River Bridge this week.

Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will be just south of Montesano over the next 2 days as they continue work in the area. Through Thursday afternoon, workers will be resurfacing sections of the roadway and bridge deck.

Single-lane alternating traffic will be in place through Thursday. Crews will repair the northbound lanes on Tuesday, and finish on Thursday with repairs to the southbound lanes.

The WSDOT says that repaving the surface of SR 107 will help reduce potholes and wheel ruts, making for a smoother, safer ride for drivers.
