Expect delays as Hwys. 12 & 101 both see repairs

Drivers on both sides of Grays Harbor can expect delays as roads are repaired.

The Washington State Department of Transportation will be repairing and resurfacing Highway 12 in Oakville and Highway 101 near Rock Crusher Hill this month

During the chip seal, drivers will see alternating one-way traffic with flaggers, and are advised to be prepared for delays.

The speed limit on US 12 will be temporarily reduced near Oakville during the chip seal project, scheduled to begin by mid-June. The speed limit will be lowered from 50 mph speed limit to 35 miles per hour during construction.

The speed limit on US 101 will be reduced from 55 to 35 during that project, also scheduled for mid-June.
