Escaped inmate found and arrested

An inmate who escaped from the Monroe Correctional Complex last week was been found in a wooded area near North Bend.

It was found last week that Brandon Musto had ties to Grays Harbor and a 59 year old McCleary man may have assisted with the escape from the corrections center.

Deputies arrested the McCleary man for Rendering Criminal Assistance. A vehicle was impounded, but Musto was not at the location.

The King County Sheriff’s Office says 37-year-old Musto was found Sunday evening on a trail. Musto had been on the run since last Wednesday.

Musto was convicted of vehicular assault in Thurston County and started his prison sentence on Sept. 23, 2011. He only had 3 months left on his term, and now faces felony escape charges.
