Emergency Expo coming for Grays Harbor residents

Grays Harbor County Emergency Management is bringing the info that residents need to one place.

Deputy Director of Emergency Management Chuck Wallace told KXRO in a release that his office will hold an “Expo” on Saturday September 17, from 10am – 4pm at the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds in the Borden-Seabert Exhibition Building (Dog Barn) for a one stop shop for emergency preparedness.

The free event is open to anyone and will feature speakers throughout the day talking about a variety of topics.

The Expo will have representeatives including;

The National Weather Service in Seattle
WA State Emergency Management Division Earthquake/Tsunami/Volcano Program
Grays Harbor County Public Health
Grays Harbor County Emergency Management
Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT)
Community Block Watch Groups
Grays Harbor County Amateur Radio

Residents will have an opportunity to learn about the upcoming fall and winter weather and what expect, how to prepare for an emergency, disaster readiness, and a number of other resources.
