DUI sends one to hospital and jail

Driving under the influence put two vehicles into an Ocean Shores garage and sent a Rochester man to the hospital and the county jail.

The Washington State Patrol told KXRO that Tuesday night, a 21 year old Rochester man was driving while intoxicated at the entrance to Ocean Shores when he hit a parked SUV.

The man was driving north at the Ocean Shores city limits in a 1988 Nissan pickup when he hit a 1994 Isuzu SUV parked on the side of the road.

When he hit the SUV, it totaled his vehicle and sent both the truck and SUV into a private garage at Oyehut Rd.

The Rochester driver was taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital with injuries that he suffered in the crash before being taken to Grays Harbor County Jail and booked on charges of Assault 3, Driving Under the Influence, Hit and Run on an Unattended vehicle, Resisting Arrest, and Driving While License Suspended.
