County buys land for flood project

Grays Harbor County has purchased the land needed to move forward with a project to help with the flooding problem in Wishkah.

The Grays Harbor County Commissioners approved the purchase and sale agreement with John Schultz for property located on the Wishkah Road to be used for the Flood Wall Retention Flood Reduction Project.

Commissioner Vickie Raines says it was a needed purchase.

The project is through the Chehalis River Basin Flood Authority.
