Following the census, the boarders of Grays Harbor’s three legislative districts are up for a reshuffling to adjust population levels and the county commissioners want to get the public’s input. Commission Chair Terry Willis says the changes on the three different versions include shifting Cosmopolis from the Second District to the Third and moving Westport from the Third District to the Second. The commissioners will be taking public input on the three drafts in a variety of forms: by emailing comments through a link on the county website, sending comments into the commissioners by mail or at a public hearing on the issue. Those hearings have yet to be scheduled, but will be held before December 8th, when the changes must be forwarded to the auditor to complete the process by the end of the year.
