Cold weather possible snow on the way

Cold weather is on the way and could bring snow.

Grays Harbor Emergency Management says freezing temperatures are expected for each night through the weekend.

All areas of the county including Amanda Park, Humptulips, Elma, McCleary, Montesano, Oakville and Taholah could see night time temperatures drop to 28-33 degrees tonight and tomorrow night and areas in East County could continue to see freezing temperatures Sunday night.

Daytime highs will reach the mid 40’s. Associated with the low temperatures may be evening and early morning fog and the possibility of black ice forming on area roads.

Use extreme caution while driving, especially during the evening and early morning hours.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a cold Artic Blast dropping through the area late Monday and Tuesday dropping snow levels to 500-1000 feet.

There is a possibility of accumulating snow Tuesday morning. The weather models do not see this as a significant event.
