Cold temps and snow in the forecast

Though Spring is just a few hours old, snow showers are being forecast starting this Thursday. As temperatures start to drop, low snow levels are expected through end of the week. That strong, low pressure system will move in to affect the Western Washington later tonight to include Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties.  Snow showers of about an inch are expected while areas further east could receive 2-3 inches of snow that will melt quickly during the day.

Temperatures will also be unseasonably cold; dipping into the 30’s and even the 20’s by Saturday before a moderating trend occurs over the weekend.

Grays Harbor County Emergency Management cautions residents to be alert for changing weather conditions as well as snow, hail and ice covered roadways, especially in the early morning hours.
