City of Aberdeen Discuss Inter-Local Agreement

Last night the City of Aberdeen discussed the inter-local agreement between the Port of Grays Harbor and Grays Harbor County that will bring on a study to look at alternate access to the Olympic Gateway Mall.

The study will look at preliminary analysis for an underpass at the Heron Street entrance to the mall. Aberdeen City Councilman Tim Alstrom says that this may be a problem for the city but it is a good sign for the industry in Aberdeen.

Grays Harbor County Commissioner Frank Gordon said that he is happy the three entities are all working together.

The Port has agreed to retain the services of David Evans & Associates to provide the analysis evaluating to feasibility of the project and the port, county, and the City of Aberdeen will each pay for a third of the nearly $25,000 study.
