City of Aberdeen awarded “Organization of the Month”

Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. announced that the City of Aberdeen is their “Organization of the Month” for September.

The city has been incorporated for 123 years and a member of Greater Grays Harbor and its predecessor organizations for much of those years.

GGH said that the City has supported United Way, Foodball, Relay for Life, Paint the Corridor, and many other organizations over the last year.

When asked why Greater Grays Harbor was important Mayor Bill Simpson said, “Transformation begins with a community’s existing assets and opportunities to participate in the regional economy.”

Only 12 Business of the Month awards are made each year and chosen from about 500 members.
